From the chairman to the cleaners, there are many important roles when it comes to football clubs. Wherever your passion lies, there are many different positions you can achieve through an apprenticeship. Using Everton FC as the example, Arch Apprentices have created this guide to show the vast variety of roles available within a sports team and how to get there.

Most of us grow up dreaming about being a professional footballer, scoring a goal in the cup final for our favourite team. Many don’t make it but you can still work for your dream club, starting as an apprentice.

Arch Apprentices has created this map to show how you can play a crucial role for the team as an apprentice. From the chairman to the cleaners, everyone plays an important part in achieving the squad’s goals.

Tier Three – Everton Matchday

Matchday Stewards, Photographers, Security Assistants, Groundsmen, Retail Manager / Store Manager, Security Officers, Kitchen Porters

Tier Four – Everton Business Operations

Receptionists, Digital Marketing Executives, HR / Admin Managers, Translators, Sales Assistants, Sales Officers, Sales Officers, Video Production, Cleaners, Web Designers, Content Writers, Graphic Designers

*Arch Apprentices offer apprenticeships that could lead to these Tier Four roles such as HR / Admin Managers, Digital Marketing Executives and Content Writers.

£404,175 goes towards funding apprentices from Everton FC. With their Everton In The Community charity and reputation as the People’s Club, it’s clear that they will have a real focus on improving career prospects for those in the local area.
